How to print a linoleum block print.Have you ever wanted to make your own block prints? Here's how you do it!

Here's How:Tips:
- Materials: Prepared linoleum block, rubber ink roller, pallette knife, block printing ink, rags/paper towels, mineral spirits, print paper, wooden spoon.
- Spread ink onto glass or plexiglas plate with rubber roller. Get even coat onto roller.
- Coat the lino block with ink. Make sure coat is even and not too thick.
- Carefully lay the print paper onto block starting on one side and gently and smoothly rolling it onto the block.
- Gently press paper onto block.
- Take wooden spoon and gently rub the paper onto block making sure to completely cover all print areas with overlapping strokes. Avoid touching non-print areas.
- Gently peel the paper from the block moving from one side to the other.
- Hang print up to dry completely.
- Check print for spots, smudges.
- Clean tools with mineral spirits.
- If you get unwanted spots in non-print area be sure to check block for "high spots". Cut them out with carving tool.
- Work clean! A tiny spot of ink can get all over the place.
- Make sure block and print paper are secured so they don't shift during printing.
