How to Re-size and Format an Image FileGot image files or photos that you want to put in a Web site but don't know how to prepare them?

Here's How:Tips:
- Scan image or have it scanned.
- Open image in image editing application such as PhotoShop.
- Check to see if application is set up in pixel or inch units.
- Do a "View Image Size" and see what the actual size is.
- You can change the units now from pixels to inch and vice versa.
- Make sure "Proportional" is checked.
- Type in desired width or height only. Application will automatically re-size proportionally.
- Type in desired image resolution. Hint: Most online Web browsers display images at 72 pixels per inch.
- Check image in actual size to see if it is correct.
- Do any editing or color corrections now.
- Do "Save As" command and save into either .jpg or .gif format.
- The lower the screen resolution of an image, the faster it loads into browser.
- For art images it is best to make thumbnail images of the art pieces.
- It is best not to put too many images on one page. It makes page load slowly.
