Jade has a B.A. from Indiana University and has chosen to reside and pursue her dream of creating art in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. She works out of her studio nestled in a remote area along the Blue Ridge Parkway. She draws inspiration for her life and art through many hiking adventures with her dogs. Together, they enjoy exploring the natural areas of North Carolina and Southwest Virginia.
"Nature truly inspires my life. Color, light, movement, texture, shadows, depth-so many things interact in the beauty of nature that we can only attempt to express through art. Creativity, for me, is about process, whether painting, sculpting, photographing, etc. Themes and subjects tend to cloud this process for me. My goal is to be free with an emotion or thought and to see where it takes me. I want to continue to grow and push limits in my life and art."
Jade hopes to inspire viewers to find their own interpretations in her work by provoking emotions of love, fear, desire, or possibly even uncovering new or unknown emotions. Jade hopes you will experience her work at The Gallery Group in Mt. Airy.
