Miss Moseley painted actively in the 1980's working in oil, acrylic, and water color. In 1981 she won the juried competition at Davidson County Art Guild. Her works have been featured in a one-woman show at Idlewild House in Winston-Salem and in a group show at Gaston Art and History Museum in Dallas, NC and in Nazareth Commons, Roanoke, Virginia. She has a painting on permanent exhibit at the Branchville Railroad Museum, Branchville, SC. A hiatus was called for in the early 90's due to a career. She resumed her creative endeavors in the late 1990's.
Quite by planned accident, she found herself with paint and brushes and her first painting. It was a contagious indulgence. After that, all of her spare time went into creating. She has taken a number of courses under established artists on both the East and West coast. She has learned how to appreciate charcoal, watercolors, acrylics, and oils. Her subjects run the gamut too, from still lifes to portraits, to landscapes.
Her paintings must speak for themselves for they are but explorations of an inner self -- an inner self not sophisticated nor affected, not technical nor blended but expressions of color, harmony, and pure pigment.
"I paint because I cannot not paint."
